Hi, my name is Mojca Pagon. I was born and raised in Slovenia and guide Insight tours all over Eastern Europe and the Balkans. I have been a Tour Director since 1969 and love the interaction with other people and the fresh challenges each day brings. 

The majority of countries which my tours visit were formally blocked by the Iron Curtain and almost two decades on, have changed tremendously. I love sharing with my guests the history and lifestyle of each place and how it differs from then and now. 

Eastern Europe is filled with so many special spots, so many of which you’d never find in guidebooks. Having lived here all my life, as well as escorting many tours around the various destinations, I’m able to share with my guests a locals perspective of secret spots to get the best traditional food, have an amazing coffee or pick up fantastic bargains.

To name only three highlights is near impossible however the crystal clear waters of the Dalmatian coast are true paradise, Poland’s charming Krakow is lifted straight from a fairytale and the extraordinary city of Dresden, which was spectacularly reborn after the destruction of war.

I recommend all travellers ensure they have all necessary medication before embarking on a trip. It’s always best to let your Tour Director know what you medical conditions and needs are as well for your own health and safety.
