SAN FRANCISCO
GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE WALK & SAUSALITO
ADULT: $39.00 / CHILD: $29.00 (CODE: SFO-3)
MINIMUM: 10 PASSENGERS
Given that this is San Francisco's and one of this country's most iconic landmarks, you must experience the Golden Gate Bridge in all its glory! There is no better way to experience the size and height of this bridge than walking across its length. So, bundle up (it can get quite windy) and get ready for a unique experience! We start off at the aptly named Roundhouse. Originally designed as a restaurant, it now houses the Golden Gate Bridge Gift Center. Watch the exhibit showing the cross-section of a cable before heading off onto the bridge itself. At mid-span, we are 220 feet above the water's surface, and passing ships below look like small toys. As you stroll from one side of the bridge to the other (1.7 miles), you will learn who named it, how the structure cheated the laws of concrete and steel, and what members of the Halfway to Hell Club did to join it. Once across the bridge, we head for Sausalito where there is time at leisure to explore this quaint seaside village. We then board the ferry for the crossing of San Francisco Bay back to Fisherman's Wharf. Enjoy the best views of the city skyline and Alcatraz Island.
AFTERNOON EXCURSION TO SAUSALITO
ADULT: $39.00 / CHILD: $29.00 (CODE: SFO-3A)
MINIMUM: 10 PASSENGERS
If you do not want to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, we offer a Sausalito-only option. Sausalito is a charming waterfront community that lies across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Because of its Mediterranean flair and breathtaking views, it is often compared to the French Riviera, but the locals you'll meet are pure "California!" Sausalito hosts a thriving artist community and is home to many art galleries, quaint shops, waterfront restaurants, and open-air cafes offering spectacular views of San Francisco across the Bay. We then board the ferry for the crossing of San Francisco Bay back to Fisherman's Wharf. Enjoy the best views of the city skyline and Alcatraz Island.
LOS ANGELES
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS - "STUDIO TOUR" BY TRAM
ADULT: $53.00 / CHILD: $53.00 (CODE: LAX-3)
MINIMUM: 12 PASSENGERS
Get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how your favorite movies and TV shows are made on the Universal Studios' famous Studio Tour. With Oscar and Emmy award-winning Whoopi Goldberg as your virtual guide, discover movies sets from "Crossing Jordan" and the top-rated "CSI: Crime Show Investigation." Get thrust into heart-pounding attractions such as "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," "King Kong," "Flash Flood," which simulates Mother Nature during a torrential downpour, and Steven Spielberg's blockbuster "War of the Worlds" as you travel through a small town devastated by an elaborately choreographed 747 jetliner crash, dramatically surrounded by still-smoking wreckage and shattered debris. Other famous movie sets include "Jurassic Park: The Lost World," the snow-covered town of Whoville from "Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" and the Psycho house and Bates motel from the classic thriller, "Psycho." Several decades of blockbuster movie history are crossed in just a few hundred yards… Truly a unique "Hollywood-style" experience not to be missed! (Studio Tour is approximately 1-hour.) After the tour, you will have free time at Universal Studios CityWalk, "where LA comes to play," a unique venue with 65 dining, entertainment and shopping choices.
AN EVENING IN LOS ANGELES
ADULT: $35.00 / CHILD: $35.00 (CODE: LAX-4)
This evening we highlight some of the most popular spots for visitors and locals alike. Our first stop will be at famous Farmer's Market. Right next door is one of Southern California's premier shopping centers, The Grove. You'll be on your own to enjoy one of the many restaurants these two areas have to offer. Farmers Market is a dining experience like no other - you can try cuisines from New Orleans to Singapore to Greek all within a few feet of one another. Or perhaps try a little more upscale dining next door at The Grove. After dinner we make the journey up to Griffith Park Observatory, a Los Angeles landmark dating back to 1935. You'll have some free time to wander through the Observatory, enjoy the planetarium, or simply enjoy the views of the wonderful city lights below.

General Information & Conditions
Brochure validity: Coach Tours are valid from 01 April 2010 to 31
March 2011 (unless shown otherwise) and supercedes any other
brochure on the market.
Tour Prices: Are based on costs, charges, tariffs, rates, prices, taxes,
levies and exchange rates as at 20th June 2009. Should these costs
change, a surcharge may be made on the price of your vacation. If the
total tour price increases by more than 10%, passengers will have the
right to cancel within 7 days of notification of the surcharge without
penalty. No surcharges in respect of cost or currency fluctuations will
be made once payment for the deposit of your land tour is received.
This guarantee excludes fuel surcharges and does not apply to any
taxes, charges or levies imposed by any government or its agencies.
In exchange for these guarantees no refund will be made if costs are
reduced. All prices are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise specified.
Tour Membership:
1. Children under 5 years of age are ineligible. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
2. Passengers with disabilities are welcome on Insight's tours provided
they are accompanied by a person capable of providing all assistance
required, and do not require special assistance from Insight personnel.
Insight reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone it feels cannot cope
with the requirements of coach tour travel or who may require services
and facilities that Insight cannot guarantee will be available. Passengers
agree that they will not hold the Insight group of companies liable for
any decision by a third party service provider when this third party
service provider refuses to carry them or to provide any facilities or
accommodation to them or to provide any services to them.
3. Insight reserves the right to withdraw tour membership from anyone
whose behavior is deemed likely to affect the smooth operation of the
tour, or adversely affect the enjoyment or safety of other passengers,
and Insight shall be under no liability to any such person for refund,
compensation, repatriation or any other matters arising.
Itinerary Variations: Insight constantly strives to improve tour
itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or
unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary,
we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain
peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in
reverse order; hotels may also vary from those stated on the itinerary
pages. On tours that include cruises, the ship may be changed due to
operational reasons. Departures in early and late season are potentially
operated in cool weather conditions. As a result, slight itinerary variations
may occur, and certain activities may not be available due to seasonality
or weather conditions. Availability of certain activities, such as Highlight
Dinners, Premium Highlights or Personal Insights may also be limited
due to itinerary variations. If your tour enjoyment may be diminished
by such limitations, please check with your Travel Agent before making
your reservation.
• Note that hotel information is provided as a guide; information on
facilities has been provided by the hotels concerned. While every
effort has been made to ensure accuracy, facilities may change without
notice.
Tour cancellation: Insight reserves the right to cancel or reschedule
any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or
circumstances beyond our control. Should this occur, we will offer you
an alternative arrangement. If there is a difference in cost, this will be on
your account. If you do not accept this alternative arrangement within 7
days, we may treat this contract as at an end. We will refund all monies
and will then be under no further liability. Insight is not responsible for
any costs for other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations
or rescheduling of any tour departure.
Airline availability:
• Seats are limited and may not be available on every flight. If Insight is
unable to confirm your air reservation in its scheduled class of service,
we may offer an alternative of either connecting flights, substitute
gateways or a more expensive booking category. Any air surcharges will
be at the passenger's expense. You will be advised of these conditions at
the time of booking.
• Airline Seating: Passengers are requested to contact the Airline(s) for
seating assignments 30 days prior to departure. Seating is solely under
control of the Airline. Flight delays and schedule changes are the sole
responsibility of the Airline.
• Airlines & Airfares: No refund will be made for canceled air tickets on air
inclusive bookings until tickets are returned to Insight. Additionally,
refunds for tour portion will only be processed after return of documents
to Insight Vacations. Please ensure that returned tour documents which
contain airline tickets are sent by certified or registered mail. Lost ticket
replacement can take up to 1 year and processing fees may be assessed.
