England - St. Pauls

England

England’s diverse landscapes range from craggy peaks, majestic moors to lush fields and quaint fishing villages, complemented by elegant and historic cities. The country’s wealth of architecture, monuments and artistic treasures displayed in stately homes and museums, reflect its long and glorious heritage. ‘Bobbies’ on horseback vie with black cabs and double-decker busses, red phone booths nestled on the edge of village greens – here is where tradition, legend, pomp and pageantry is intertwined with the informality of everyday life.

London, England truly has something for everyone! From a stroll through Ludlow’s medieval streets, to Bath’s fine Georgian buildings, various cathedrals, and the encircling city walls of York, the architecture and landscape are yours to discover.

If shopping is more to your liking, Britain’s capital is a world-renowned shopping destination. Boasting institutions such as Harrods, and the boutiques of Knightsbridge, to the antiques and bargains which can be found at Portobello Road and Camden Market, it’s a shopper’s paradise.
In the evening, enjoy London’s West End which is famous the world over for its fabulous shows and collection of theatres, cinemas, restaurants, hotels and nightclubs. Covent Garden offers Opera, while the Royal Albert Hall hosts one of London’s symphony orchestras. The Brits also love their sport – think Wimbledon, Test Match cricket, or catch a Premier League soccer match.

Although it’s known for its history, England has lots of pop culture to offer. Beatles fans can check out spots related to the iconic band such as the Cavern Club, Strawberry Fields and Penny lane; just watch for cars when re-enacting the famous crossing of Abbey Road! Interested in seeing the Crown Jewels or learning about Jack the Ripper? Additional excursions can show you another side of London. View more trips to England.
