In partnership with One Tree Planted, we will plant a tree for every guest travelling with participating TTC brands. In 2020, this initiative will focus all tree-planting to support reforestation in Australia after their devastating bushfires.
The e-documents initiative was implemented with the goal of reducing the environmental footprint of our partner brands. E-documents are the same as paper documents, the difference being that they allow us to save trees through electronic delivery, lowering our carbon footprint and yours, considerably.
Since 2017 and in partnership with One Tree Planted, a leading not-for-profit organization focused on global reforestation, we’ve planted a tree for every guest who has chosen to receive travel documents electronically rather than printed and mailed. In May 2020, all TTC brands participating in this initiative moved entirely to e-documents, and we will plant a tree for every one of our valued guests who travel with them.

In response to the devastating Australian bushfires, all tree-planting efforts as part of this initiative will be focused in Australia in 2020 to aid in its reforestation, in Bushfire Recover Nurseries with a focus on habitat-rebuilding for affected species, including the black glossy cockatoo and koala. One Tree Planted has committed to planting 1 million trees across Australia as part of a 5-year project in partnership with the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife and Australia’s National Parks.
One Tree Planted is a non-profit charity based in Vermont, USA. They plant trees around the world and every dollar raised helps plant one tree. OTP works with amazing reforestation organizations around the world that need financial support to help them get more trees planted.Find out more
