Trip: This an an excellent introduction to selected countries especially for first-time visitors to Europe.
Service: The “stand out” component of “Mediterranean Journey” was our tour director: Gary Junge. Gary ensured our safety, comfort and enjoyment of this tour through his efficiency, commitment and never-ending support for the whole group.
31 August, 2018
Trip: The sights were educational. The tour director strived to make it most memorable. Every precaution was in place to make the trip safe. However please eliminate the hotel in Tuscany. It was horrible!
Service: It was excellent
27 August, 2018
Trip: Well planned except for the Tuscan village stay which was lovely but very remote and quite difficult for our bus driver to locate and navigate the narrow winding roads
Service: Great tour director

Trip: Well chosen places to visit.
Service: Tour guide was excellent. Needed just a little more down time.
22 July, 2018
Trip: The journey was good, although a lot of the optional extras should have been included in the tour.
Service: The actual tour was great, even the coach braking down on a major freeway, it was unexpected and unforseen. What I think needs a lot of improvement is the administration side of the operation, specifically the office in London. We confirmed our pick up for the tour the day before, our agent confirmed it on a number of occasions, and yet we still got left behind, and had to frantically find our own way to St. Pancras Station, to pick up the Eurostar.

Trip: Insight is definitely first class with Hotels bus and everything else
Service: Our Tour Guide was fabulous
01 July, 2018
Trip: All sites enjoyable. We would have preferred a couple of days in London.
Service: Lorenzo was an outstanding tour director. The 5 to 6 hour delay at the London train station and a five hour wait for a replacement bus on the freeway north of Monte Carlo were disappointing. The motels and sites were very good.

Trip: Too busy Not enough free time On the days of long bus travel it would have been nice to just have dinner in the hotel we were staying in and then a free night.
Service: It was a very very busy tour,i would have liked more opportunity to have free time every couple days. I dont enjoy staying at Tuscan villas, I've done it twice now, with Insight and another tour company and i didnt enjoy either stay. Whilst i love visiting ancient buildings, cathedrals and palaces etc i dont enjoy staying in them. The bathrooms are an add on,poorly lit and the bedrooms smell. We had a few issues with transport during the tour however we couldnt have asked for a better Tour Director (Lorenzo Borrelli) and Coach Driver (Carlo). Carlo would have to be one of the best drivers I have had (I've been on 9 different tours),very patient, safe, experienced, careful and kind. I would definitely travel with Insight again. I did have an issue with your London office too,in that they didnt address two issues i had due to my late arrival into Paris. I had emailed them about 12 hours in advance but still it wasnt dealt with. They have now responded but i am still not happy with their reply. I guess my concerns with customer service come from the issues with your London office, definitely not the service that both Lorenzo and Carlo provided.

Trip: Great itinerary, just would have preferred more time in Nice and less time in Tuscany.
Service: Lorenzo, our tour director and Carlo our driver were amazing. Lorenzo is a wealth of knowledge, like a travelling encyclopedia and Carlo's driving was amazing, he got us out of some very tricky situations and was always calm about everything. Just a shame he didn't speak much english. A trip I will never forget and have very fond memories of!!

Trip: We would have never been able to see as much as we did on our own. The planning for sights/attractions, restaurants, and tours were outstanding. Our tour guide and the coach driver took care of everything! All you have to do is show up and have fun!
Service: Everything was well planned and our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The only issue I had was that I get motion sick unless I sit in the front of the tour bus. I contacted Insight before we booked and they told me to fill out a form they have letting your tour guide know about this and they would do their best to accommodate me. Once we were there in London our tour guide told me that Insight has a policy against letting someone sit in the front the whole trip. I was very disappointed and upset. He initially let me sit in the very front seat for the first 3 days, then I was given the second row seat. Which, coupled with my prescription patch, I did fine. Buy....if you have a motion sickness you should be aware that you won't get the front seat as everyone else on the coach wants a turn in front. If that doesn't work for you, you shouldn't book.
18 June, 2018
Trip: In some cities, the schedule is too tight
Service: I never dealt with the customer service. I always deal with my travel agent.
07 June, 2018
Trip: A good mix of cities and smaller towns
Service: The itinerary, coach, hotels and tour director were all very good. We felt the optional tours were too expensive and included too many essential tours which should have been included. eg Eiffel Tower
