Trip: It is a whirlwind and the drives to Warsaw and Berlin are fairly long. But getting to see Budapest, Krakow, Warsaw, Berlin, Prague and Vienna in a single trip was exactly what I was looking for.
Service: We got off to a rocky start as Insight didn't get the legal name correct for one member of our party. It took a little effort for our travel agent to get Insight to correct the mistake. Other than that all was fantastic, but that was too big of an issue to give a 5-Star.

Trip: We went to all of the places I wanted to see. The tour director (Steve) gave excellent history lessons on the coach. This was supplemented by very good city guides. Got to walk around a lot at the key places, instead of just driving past them.
Service: Everything went very smoothly. The materials arrived a few weeks before we left. The tour director (Steve) and driver (Joseph) were outstanding.

Trip: I fely some of the included meals were rushed and the food was poor quality
Service: I swore I would never do another insight vacation after a bad experience 13 years ago. My sister convinced me to do a highlights of Eastern Europe trip. The included tours were excellent and I did most of the optional tours. The included meals varied. Some were very good . The Mecure in Krakow and the first one in budapest, also the last in Vienna, however the others I felt were very rushed and the food poor quality. The accomadation was varied and in good locations. loved The Ruze in Cesky Irina our guide I cannot praise enough. She was professional, highly orgainized with a lovely sense of humour. She went beyond what I would expect. Videos for long trips in the bus. Little language cheat sheets and videos of countries we were visiting. Quiet classical music to rest. A tour director can make or break a trip and she was fantastic. One optional tour I felt was a bit of a money grab was the optional tour in Berlin to see the wall and the Jewish monument. This I felt could have been included in the morning included tour as it took us back to the same area we had been in that morning. I ahd a fantastic time and would look at insight again if the quality of guides was like Irina

Trip: I chose this tour because it gave 2 nights in each location (except 1). It covered a lot of ground and countries and gave me a touch of each... so I know where to go back to in depth.
Service: Tour director Greg was well organised, courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable about all areas we visited. Driver was careful, punctual and courteous

Trip: Saw many great places - would have enjoyed longer free time
Service: Included tours were all very similar - no variety. Would go again however. Tour guide (Heinz) was great.
15 September, 2018
Trip: Some of the cities needed an extra day as we arrived late in the day after travelling most of the day. Also a few more late starts would be nice but I understand that it is good to get to heavily visited sites early before the crowds.
Service: The guide and bus driver were amazing and yes, I would use Insight again. Hotels were excellent. I would like to see fewer optional excursions that add extra costs to the trip after having paid for what I thought was a complete package. Nice to have optional side excursions but only the optional meals should be an extra cost.

Trip: The Highlights of Eastern Europe tour was fantastic. We visited great places and our tour director Gregory was very knowledgeable and a great host.
Service: The service received was great

Trip: See above, ie, time in Berlin
Service: The door to door service was up to your usual standard, the destinations chosen were where we wanted to go. But omitting the visit to the Berlin Wall was disappointing, when we had to pay to visit that important area of our history. The night High Lights of Prague was very unsafe due to the weather and lack of lighting especially up and down very wet slippery steps. Also the hotel in Berlin was so far from the city, which made it impossible to spend our spare time at special areas which were import to us.

Trip: Loved all the places we went and they were relevant to the title. Loved Cesky Krumlov.
Service: Good communication. Appreciated offer of pick off / drop off from / to airport and tour director assisted if this did not fit in with your schedule.
