Trip: The itinerary was very busy but doable with free time. I would recommend doing the optional experiences but they did cost us almost $1000 US extra but it was worth it. So be prepared. We saw so much and it was a great trip.

Service: Spectacular Scandanavia and Its Fjords was a memorable trip for us. Our Tour Director Carl Tayor was the best! Very caring, funny, organized, paying attention to every detail. He regularly during the trip walked through the bus asking how each guest was doing and if they were happy with their experience. I would let travelers know that European hotels are different: some do not provide washcloths (I bring some throw aways from the $ store). They do not have AC so don't hesitate to ask for a fan. Our last hotel in Oslo: the Scandic, the room was really meant for a single occupant while our traveling companions got a huge suite. All in all, wonderful trip. Would highly recommend. I would use Insight Vacations in the future.

Trip: Love the scenery in Norway; the fjords, waterfalls, national park, the sculpture park.

Service: The tour director is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He is a fantastic story teller. His Troll story telling is awesome. Bus is tip top condition. Kept the bus very clean. Like the rotational seats policy. Give others a chance to have the front seat.

  • 18 September, 2018

Trip: Good pace. Hit all major highlights of each country. Excursions well chosen

Service: Invoices, deadlines, payments very clear. Timely responses to travel agent.

  • 17 September, 2018

Trip: Falun Hotel Dinner was horrible. Rather have bread and water instead of the dinner that was served. (I am still giving you 5 stars because 1 lousy dinner does not alter the fact that the rest of the tour was excellent).

Service: Our Tour Director Zsofi *personal information removed by Feefo* was excellent. She is Top Class. She was very helpful, cheerful, polite and nothing was too hard for her. She went out of her way to make our tour enjoyable. And our driver Jzoeph (Jzoef ?? Joseph??) He was just excellent. So polite, cheerful, helpful, kept the bus very clean and such a safe and caring driver. You have no idea what excellent staff you have in these 2 people. Please reward them for their super service.

  • 17 September, 2018

Trip: Our trip just kept getting better and better! The scenery was spectacular.

Service: Guide and driver on our trip through Scandinavia were top notch! Yes, I will travel with Insight Vacations again.

  • 17 September, 2018

Trip: A great trip but I'm fed up with surveys.

    Service: Will recommend to others.

  • 16 September, 2018

Trip: The places we toured very interesting and hotel locations were excellent.

Service: WE were treated royally by our Tour director, Danny Steenkamp. I don't know what more he could have done. Absolutely awesome. Our bus drivers were very good as well.

  • 16 September, 2018

Trip: It would have been 5 stars if not for the rain. It rained in most of the major sights - Copenhagen walking tour & Tivoli Garden, Stockholm's visit to royal palace; Geiranger cruise; Bergen city tour & Edvard Grieg's home & funicular; Hardeanger plateau; Oslo's Vigeland sculpture & city tour.

Service: It was very well organized. We had a great tour director & excellent driver, making the journey safe and enjoyable. The flourishes were nice surprises (e.g. picnic lunch; waffle treat).

  • 16 September, 2018

Trip: An extra day to ourselves in Geiranger would have been nice, just to enjoy it and take a mid trip rest. Museum stops at Vasa and Polar Fram could have been longer by about one more hour. Possibly consider an extra day in Oslo as well for more exploring time.

Service: Tour director went out of his way to make this travel experience perfect - always adding little extras, like a small route change to see fjord horses. Always attentive to what he thought the tour group would like and always researching information if asked something he didn't know (which was seldom). He made sure everything ran smoothly and the details were seamless to us - we didn't have to worry about a thing, just sit back and enjoy the trip. Excellent customer service.

  • 16 September, 2018

Trip: I researched where the trip was going prior to booking, and was perfectly happy with everything (except the Oslo Hotel)

Service: Our Tour Director, Carl Taylor, was excellent. Our bus driver, Lazlo, was absolutely fabulous and at all times very calm and professional. He could navigate the coach spectacularly around all the extremely sharp corners going uphill in the fjord area in Norway, and park the coach in any tight situation brilliantly. Prior to going away I had a theory that the first and last hotel on any tour would be top class. Unfortunately, the last hotel in Oslo was a disappointment. On arrival I was checked into a small single room (the only single room for me on the whole trip) and found I was unable to get hot water, even after running it for about 15 minutes. Reception came and tested the water and confirmed there was a problem and I was transferred to another room. This time a double room and, although I had hot water, it was very slow to come through. The room also lacked things like a hair dryer, face washer, iron etc. I discovered later others on the tour were also unhappy with this particular hotel. Regardless of the above I had a wonderful time, as I had done on my previous trip with Insight through Europe two years ago, and would quite happily travel with Insight again.

  • 16 September, 2018

Trip: The itinerary was good and planned well.

Service: I was extremely disappointed in the choice of hotel in Oslo, Norway. As some of the accommodations I had were overlooking brick or stone walls, I expected to have a much better room than what I had. The room was small and extremely claustrophobic.

  • 13 September, 2018

Trip: Overall a good itinerary with a number of 2 night stays being great to get an overall experience and appreciation of the countries. However there are a couple of opportunities for improvement. Hotel in Falun and accompanying meal was a disappointment. A couple of other hotels eg Oslo were just satisfactory and alternates should be considered. Loved Copenhagen and Norway and its fjords especially Geiranger and the cruise on the fjord. Mountain scenery, fjords and the roads (switchbacks and tunnels) were picturesque and enjoyable.

Service: Terrific tour with excellent tour guide and bus driver. Always helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs.
