Trip: Thoroughly enjoyable group of fellow travelers. Our guide was always entertainimy & thoughtful.
Service: The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is that we had some difficulty getting Insight to mail us copies of our itinerary.

Trip: This tour gave us such a great insight of Portugal. The whole itinerary, including all extra options was most enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed ALL of Portugal and what it had to offer. It gave us a chance to experience the Portuguese history, culture, landscape, cuisines and wines. The overall level of accommodation was first class and the best coach and driver we have experienced. The tour also gave us an opportunity to socialise with most of the other members in our group. Have made some lifelong friends. Overall very good value.
Service: On behalf of my wife (Eileen) and I, we would like to congratulate Insight Vacations and particularly our Tour Director, Sara Tuppen Veloso, for providing us with an amazing tour of Portugal. Sara's professional approach to all aspects of our tour was first class. Her organisational skills, subject knowledge and pleasant personality ensured that not only us, but the other thirty odd people on the eleven day tour, was a seamless experience! Thank you Sara and Insight Vacations, we have already highly recommended your organisation to others, since arriving back in Australia. We are glad to be given this opportunity to provide feedback on our Tour Director (Hany Atta) from the Splendours of Egypt tour. As a Tour Director and individual, Hany Atta ticks ALL the boxes! He is a very special human being. He guided our small group in a very safe, caring and personal manner. He provided us with a well structured program, always organised and prepared for the day ahead. HIs ability to pass on his vast knowledge of Egypt's ancient history was delivered to us in a captivating manner that was uncomplicated and therefore allowed us to have a greater understanding of the culture and magnificent ancient structures we visited. As we were a small group (8), Hany made our tour very personalised referring to us as "the family" and we believe this assisted with the group of different nationalities gelling together and making the whole experience most enjoyable. For us a life changing experience - thank you Hany and Insight Vacations. Regards John and Eileen Herridge.

Trip: We saw a lot of Portugal; only improvement would be to NEVER stay less than 2 nights at a hotel - even if it lengthened the tour by a few days.
Service: This was our third Insight Vacations and we have enjoyed them all. We have had excellent tour directors who were informative, organized, and friendly. Hotels were always very good. Yes, we will - and have - recommended your company to friends.

Trip: Maybe slow the pace a bit
27 October, 2018
Trip: We were unable to complete the tour do to medical reasons, but we did enjoy the varied options of this tour.
Service: We have traveled extensively and Sara Tuppen Veloso was the most awesome tour director we have ever had.

Trip: At some locations, I would like to have had more time in the town,Eg. Cascais and less time at Quelez palace. The palace tour was too long for me. Also, I would have liked to spend more time in Lagos, to be able to see more of the ocean.
Service: We had some great dinner nights out with the group. I would recommend that a few more dinner nights for the people to gel more early in the tour.Tour director was very attentive to our questions.

Trip: The selected locations had some of the best views, food, and character that I've been to, as well as having landmarks and historic sites that have extensive and captivating histories behind them! The meals were also delicious! We did, however, have to pack up and change location rather quickly, only stopping at each destination for about a day or two, which is to be expected if we were to view so many locations. Just something to take note if going on this tour! (Still a great tour though, well worth it)
Service: The travel director was very engaging, down-to-earth, and humorous! He made all the (usually boring) history lessons really interesting and exciting without sacrificing any of the important details. Also, the local experts were very knowledgeable and humorous as well, and you can see that they really enjoy their line of work! Additional note: the bus driver we had has more skill than any other driver I've ever seen in my life. Seriously. With that huge (and comfortable!) bus and those narrow roads, we never felt that we were in any danger at any point of time.

Trip: The Country Roads of Portugal itinerary was well planned & organized while giving us an excellent overview of the country. The bus was comfortable & the comfort stops were appreciated & well timed. It was nice to have some free time at each stop. The hotels were excellent. The included meals were delicious and highlighted the area's speciality. The optional tours were well worth it. The places we visited were beautiful, historic, and each had it's own point of interest. The local tour guides all spoke very good English were very knowledgeable.
Service: The tour guide, Denise, & the bus driver, Manuel, were both exceptional, and a credit to Insight Vacations. The were friendly & professional. They worked hard to make our experience very pleasant indeed.
22 October, 2018
Trip: Well planned although would benefit from an extra night in one of the mid-tour stopovers. Welcome dinner was, however, not up to the level of the rest of the tour.
Service: Wonderful Tour Manager, Denise. Well planned tour although we could have had an extra night at one of the mid-tour towns.
