    Welcome to Prague

    Arrive at Prague Václav Havel Airport, where you will be transferred to your hotel. Transfers are available between 05:00 & 17:00.

  3. Day 3

    Prague, City of a Hundred Spires

    Prague has been a centre of arts, commerce and politics for a thousand years. Mozart wrote his famous Prague Symphony here. The Habsburgs made it their capital for several centuries, drawing scientists and artists from all over Europe. You have the choice to enjoy a panoramic tour of the beautiful “City of Spires,” including the Prague Castle district. Or you can explore the Josefov district associated with the writer Franz Kafka.

    Join your Cruise

    Transfer to your Uniworld boutique cruise ship, the River Ambassador, to begin your exploration of the mighty Danube.

  5. Day 5 - Relaxed Start

    Cruising the Main-Danube Canal, Nuremberg

    (Relaxed Start) Head ashore in Nuremberg for a panoramic tour of the city. Alternatively, you can take a guided tour of the significant WWII sites, including Courtroom 600, the venue for the historic Nuremberg Trials. In the evening, enjoy a Captain's Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner. Note: Courtroom 600 is an active court. Visitors will only be permitted to see the courtroom during trial breaks.

    Regensburg

    Regensburg is one of Europe's best-preserved medieval towns, and your walking discovery tour provides a concise overview of its fascinating 2,000-year history. For a different perspective, explore sites associated with Germany's oldest Jewish community, dating back more than a thousand years, or choose to tour the state-of-the-art BMW factory.

  7. Day 7

    Deggendorf (Theresienthal), cruising the Danube River, Straubing

    Board a traditional horse-drawn wagon through Deggendorf, the gateway to the magical Bavarian Forest. En route to a Theresienthal glass manufactory, enjoy freshly baked bread and schnapps. Perhaps bicycle along the Danube to Straubing, where you will meet up with your fellow travellers and explore the local brewing traditions or experience daily life in this enchanting town.

  8. Day 8

    Passau, Engelhartszell

    You have three ways to experience Passau — strolling with a Local Expert through the medieval lanes lined with baroque buildings; taking a panoramic tour and a short walk through the heart of the charming city; or going active by cycling along the Danube's riverside bike path and through Passau's Old Town.

  9. Day 9

    Cruising the Wachau Valley (Weissenkirchen or Melk)

    After a scenic cruise through the spectacular Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll arrive in Weissenkirchen to enjoy a day full of wonderful activities - choose to stroll through the village, sample apricot-infused delicacies, experience a 'Go Active' hike through a vineyard and taste the local wines. Or, you can visit Melk's 900-year-old abbey, a significant centre of learning for many centuries and home to the extraordinary library that inspired the novel The Name of the Rose. In the evening, enjoy a Captain's Celebration Reception and Gala Dinner.

  10. Day 10

    Vienna

    Choose to enjoy a stroll to the State Opera House for a guided tour of one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world. Alternatively, view the Gustav Klimt exhibit at the Belvedere, a remarkable collection that includes his most famous painting—The Kiss.

  11. Day 11

    Join your tour

    After breakfast, disembark your ship and transfer to your hotel in Vienna. In the evening, join your Tour Director for a Welcome Reception and a pleasant evening of dinner and wine.

  12. Day 12

    Exploring Stately Vienna

    Join a Local Expert for a private tour of Maria Theresa's Schönbrunn Palace and formal gardens. Then get your cameras ready for a drive around the famous Ring Road. This grand boulevard, built along the lines of the old city walls, showcases many of the capital's architectural masterpieces, including the Hofburg Imperial Residence and Parliament building.

  13. Day 13

    Maribor and the Capital City of Ljubljana

    In the morning, cross the border into Slovenia and journey to its second largest city, Maribor. After spending time in this charming location, head to the ‘beloved' city of Ljubljana.

  14. Day 14 - Relaxed Start

    Exploring ‘Lovable’ Ljubljana

    (Relaxed Start) A Local Expert will reveal the Baroque elegance of the Slovenian capital. The medieval castle stands as ancient guardian, the City Hall and Cathedral of St. Nicholas testify to its historical importance, while the Triple Bridge spans the river adorned with cafés and restaurants. Spend time in the glorious Central Market, rich with the heady aromas of fresh fruits, vegetables, cheese, meat and spices. Your Local Expert will share insights into some of the Slovenian delicacies on display. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. In the evening, you are invited to choose from a selection of restaurants on your Dine-Around evening.

  15. Day 15 - Relaxed Start

    Zagreb’s Twin Towns

    (Relaxed Start) Journey into Croatia and on to the country's capital, Zagreb. On arrival, guided sightseeing will take you through the squares of the Lower Town to the cathedral. Then walk through the medieval Upper Town to see the Stone Gate, St. Mark's Church and Lotrščak Tower.

  16. Day 16 - Relaxed Start

    Zagreb at Leisure

    (Relaxed Start) A free day to relax and enjoy a city that is bursting with culture. Perhaps spend time exploring one of the many museums or browsing the shops in the Lower Town (Donji grad) area.

  17. Day 17 - Relaxed Start

    On to Plitvice National Park

    (Relaxed Start) Journey south to visit one of Europe's great natural wonders. A Local Expert will lead you through zig-zagging timber footbridges and the crystal blue-green beauty of Plitvice National Park; a scenic wonderland of 16 interconnecting lakes, flanked by waterfalls and primeval forest. Visit Korana Canyon to see the 70-meter-high falls and Tomicevo Pogledalo for spectacular panoramic views.

  18. Day 18

    Along the Dalmatian Coast to Split

    The green forests give way to pebble-dashed shores lapped by turquoise waters as you travel to Trogir, a historic town founded by the Greeks in 400BC. Admire the cathedral and Renaissance Cipiko Palace before continuing to the historic port of Split. 1,700 years ago, the Roman Emperor Diocletian built his palace here and today it forms the nucleus of the old town. A Local Expert will lead you through the labyrinthine streets and arcaded squares to see St. Duje's, (originally Diocletian's Mausoleum), the Temple of Jupiter (today, a baptistery) and the Golden Gate, before venturing underground.

  19. Day 19 - Relaxed Start

    Exploring Split

    (Relaxed Start) A full free day to explore Split and see Dalmatian life as it's really lived. Always buzzing, this lively city has just the right balance of tradition and modernity. In the evening, don't miss the opportunity to have dinner in a traditional 'Konoba'.

  20. Day 20

    Sarajevo, the City of Culture

    In the morning, cross the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina and and stop with at the small town of Medjugorje. A now famous religious site due to six children, who claim to have seen visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Continue to Sarajevo, a town with a turbulent past - in 1914 it was the site of the assassination that sparked WWI and more recently, it endured the longest siege in modern military history.

  21. Day 21

    Sarajevo Sightseeing

    Morning sightseeing with a Local Expert introduces you to the Sarajevo War Tunnels Museum, housing part of the secret tunnel that was the city's lifeline during the Bosnian war. Talk to one of the survivors, for whom the siege of Sarajevo remains a defining moment in his life. You will also see the Latin Bridge where Austrian Crown Prince, Franz Ferdinand, was assassinated. Continue to the Baščaršija, the cobbled old town market where Sarajevo was founded by the Ottomans in the 15th century. In the afternoon, relax during free time.

  22. Day 22

    Mostar and Dubrovnik

    Journey to Mostar and with a Local Expert, walk across the famous Stari Most (Old Bridge), reconstructed after being almost completely destroyed during the war. The cobbled old town stretches on both sides of the bridge and is filled with shops selling Turkish-style souvenirs. Cross the border, back into Croatia and journey to the walled town of Dubrovnik. On arrival, join a Local Expert to explore the stone-paved streets inside the 16th century bastions of the old town. See Onofrio's Fountain and the Rector's Palace, as well as the Franciscan and Dominican monasteries.

  23. Day 23 - Relaxed Start

    Optional Montenegro Experience

    (Relaxed Start) In the morning, there is an optional visit to Montenegro. Start with Kotor, situated on the only fjord on the Adriatic coast. Capture forever on film one of the most beautiful parts of the bay, and learn some of the compelling history of this area. Then head to the picturesque town of Budva where there is free time for lunch before returning to Dubrovnik. The rest of the day is at leisure. In the evening, sit back and enjoy a relaxing cruise around the fabled bay of Dubrovnik. The mighty city walls rise straight from the cliffs that once upon a time were part of yet another island of the Adriatic. Enjoy a typical Dalmatian coast dinner, washed down with local drinks - wine and grappa being the most famous. Then moor in the old town harbour for another look at Dubrovnik (weather permitting).

  24. Day 24

    Depart Dubrovnik

    Your tour draws to a close after breakfast. Departure transfers arrive at Dubrovnik Airport at 09:00 and 11:30.

Drive southward along the coast into Montenegro and the pretty town of Kotor, situated on the Adriatic's only fjord. Finally, a short ferry ride whisks you across the bay on your way back to Dubrovnik. Please note: Visas may be required for this excursion.

Excursion To Lake Bled

Drive through the pretty Slovenian countryside to the tranquil shores of Lake Bled. Surrounded by stunning views of the Julian Alps, an oarsman steers his traditional wooden 'pletna' across the turquoise glacial waters towards the tiny island that rises in the middle. Day Trip To Brač Island

A stunning day exploring Brač, the largest island of Dalmatia and a place of stunning beauty, nature and history.
