Discover three of Italy's most cultural cities. Savour Rome's rich heritage, soak up the Renaissance atmosphere of Florence, and look beyond the canals and gondolas to gain a deeper understanding of Venice.

  1. Day 1

    Your Journey Begins

Board your overnight flight to Europe (Please ask about our great deals).

  2. Day 2

Welcome to the Eternal City of Rome.

Rome is one of the world’s most historic cities, filled with classic antiquities, medieval buildings, Renaissance palaces and Baroque churches. Transfers to your hotel depart Rome’s Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport at 09:30, 12:30 and 15:30. Then this historic city is yours to discover. At 17:30, join your Travel Director for a uniquely Roman Welcome Dinner. Get to know your travelling companions over a relaxed evening of dinner and wine.

  3. Day 3

    Exploring The Vatican City.

A Local Expert introduces the grandeur of the city. Start off in the Vatican State, the richest community in the world. While others wait in line, you will be fast-tracked through the VIP entrance into the Vatican Museums. Admire the collection of priceless art gathered by Popes over the ages. Your visit also includes behind-the-scenes access to a part of the Vatican denied to the general public such as the famous Bramante Staircase. Then enter the sublime Sistine Chapel where you'll gaze up and admire Michelangelo's famous painted ceiling. Next door, in St. Peter's Basilica, see one of Michelangelo's early works, the Pietà, and the splendid dome completed after his death. For the rest of the day, enjoy free time.

  4. Day 4 - Relaxed Start

    Rome at Leisure.

(Relaxed Start) Spend another day enjoying Rome at your own pace. Perhaps take an Optional Experience to the ill-fated town of Pompeii, frozen in time when it was engulfed by an eruption of Vesuvius in A.D 79. Alternatively, stroll to the boutiques of the Via del Corsoa and Via Nazionale or visit the elegant designer stores near the Spanish Steps. As night falls, why not sip a glass of prosecco at a sidewalk cafe in the Piazza Navona, the 'Living Room of Rome', and enjoy life's pageantry pass by?

  5. Day 5

Under the Tuscan sun to Assisi.

Journey through Umbria and up the foothills of the Apennine Mountains to reach delightful Assisi, a stone-built town spilling over the steep hillside. With a Local Expert, visit the tomb of St. Francis and see the beautiful frescoes by Giotto in the great basilica. Continue through the picture-perfect scenery of the Tuscan hills, where deep-green cypress trees pierce blue skies and olive groves hug the rolling hillsides to reach Renaissance Florence.

  6. Day 6 - Relaxed Start

    Florence, Birthplace of the Renaissance.

(Relaxed Start)Join a local art historian to see Michelangelo's David in the Accademia Museum. Walk on to the multi-coloured marble cathedral, bell tower and baptistery, where Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise have been recreated in all their glory. Visit Piazza della Signoria, still the political heart of Florence and an open-air gallery of Renaissance masterpieces. Spend time gazing at statues such as Neptune as well as Hercules and Cacus, along the front of the Palazzo Vecchio. The area around Santa Croce Basilica is famous for the quality of its luxury goods of gold and leather and there's free time to shop or continue exploring with the rest of the day at leisure.

  7. Day 7 - Relaxed Start

    Pisa and the Tuscan Countryside.

(Relaxed Start) After a leisurely morning in Florence, explore the nearby town of Pisa with a Local Expert and see the baptistery with its intricate marble facade, the colonnaded bell tower lurching behind the cathedral and of course the famous Leaning Tower. On return to Florence, stop at the il Poggio organic farm for a guided walk through the vineyards and olive trees, learning about the production of olive oil and wine. On the veranda, take in beautiful views of the rolling Tuscan hills as you enjoy tasting the farm's freshly-produced wines and olive oil, in addition to an authentic Italian meal prepared with locally-sourced ingredients.

  8. Day 8

Verona and Venice, Queen of the Adriatic.

Passing the city of Bologna, look forward to a highlight stop at the elegant city of Verona, legendary home of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers. Walk with your Travel Director past the Roman Arena to the famous balcony in the courtyard of the reputed Capulet home. After free time to explore, take the autostrada east to Venice, Queen of the Adriatic. Your luxurious hotel gazes out over the Giudecca Canal complete with memorable views of the city skyline.

  9. Day 9 - Relaxed Start

Venice and the Magic of La Serenissima.

(Relaxed Start) Wake up ready to embrace the most sensuous of cities. Admire the art of glassblowing on a visit to a traditional arts centre. Then board your private vaporetto, sit back and enjoy your introduction to this unique city of ornate palaces, bridges and gondolas. Disembark and stroll to the Bridge of Sighs before turning the corner to stand in awe at the marble arcades of Piazza San Marco. St. Mark’s Basilica, with its dazzling domes, occupies the corner next to the clock tower. Beside it stands the pink and white marbled Doge’s Palace. In the afternoon, there will be plenty of time to explore the museums, galleries and churches or browse through the shops on the Rialto Bridge. Perhaps cruise out to some of the other islands in the lagoon to experience the age-old lifestyle of Venetian fishermen and lace-makers.

  10. Day 10 - Relaxed Start

    Venice at Leisure.

(Relaxed Start) Who could refuse another day to take in the unique atmosphere of this wonderful city? Lose yourself in the back lanes and campi, the small squares where tourists seldom tread and the Venetians go about their daily lives. Maybe visit some of the 90 churches that house masterpieces of Venetian art or explore the modern artworks in the Guggenheim. Relax a while at a canal-side cafe and sip the local wine or sample delicious lagoon-fresh fish. Later, board a traditional gondola for a serenade through the romantic canals. Toast your travels with fantastic food, great wine and wonderful company during your Celebration Dinner in this magical setting.

  11. Day 11

    Arrivederci Venice.

Bid farewell to this enchanting city today and depart for Venice Marco Polo Airport to arrive at 08:00 or 09:30.

  • Easy Pace Italy Tour

    4 out of 5

    Audubon, United States

This is probably one of the best tours for seeing a lot of Italy in one visit. I won't repeat what the other reviews said, but would like to add a few thoughts. Don't be fooled by the Easy Pace title. It is only easy pace if you do none of the optional excursions. The optional excursions usually require an early departure time (7:30-8am),but are worth it because you generally get there before the crowds. You may be tempted to do all the optionals, but I would discourage this. Not only do the costs add up, but the pace can be fairly hectic. My votes for best optionals are: Pompeii - don't miss this! You may never get another chance. The Colosseum and Forum - missing this would be like visiting Philadelphia & not seeing the Liberty Bell, but I also feel it should be included in the tour & not an optional cost. The tour to Siena and San Gimignano is excellent! So worth it to visit these two beautiful cities. The cooking demonstration/dinner with an Italian chef in the Tuscan Hills was fabulous! Food, view, wine, a great evening. I would skip the other optional dinner in Tuscany & go out to dine in Florence instead. I think you would get more of the wonderful Italian flavor that way. The side trip to Burano was very good & a nice way to see some of the islands that make up Venice. I was not wowed by the other optional excursions. One other comment: we arrived in Rome a day early for this tour, so we spent Sunday walking around Rome & visited the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Mouth of Truth. Since we did optionals on Monday & Tuesday, we would not have had free time to do them otherwise.

  • Trip of a Lifetime

    5 out of 5

    Otis (ME), United States

My Easy Pace Insight Tour of Italy was truly the trip of a lifetime and a high point of my life! Visiting Italy and experiencing its many beautiful wonders while enjoying the culture, people and delicious food was incredible. Our tour director, Lynne Meadows, taught us all so much about Italy plus has such a warm personality - everyone just fell in love with her. We truly felt like we were all family! Her sense of humor was always apparent even when stressful situations presented themselves. She was consistently kind and thoughtful whenever members of our tour might be having difficulties for various reasons. If an issue came up while traveling, Lynne was right there to set things right: if someone had fallen and needed first aid, couldn't find their cell phone, had wandered off on their own from the group, or even wanted to propose to their sweetheart on a gondola in Venice, Lynne made it happen with a smile on her face! I was aware, also, of how Lynne could make a quick call and make something immediately happen to enhance our trip. Incredibly organized and on top of everything. She must know everyone in Italy! Speaking several languages probably doesn't hurt. Everywhere we went people seemed genuinely delighted to see Lynne and, when our tour ended, we were genuinely sad to say goodbye to her. I'm still processing the wonderful sights and experiences of Italy and am so happy I decided to go with Insight Tours. There were several people on our tour who had already experienced Insight Tours and had returned to Insight when it was time to travel again. I've been with other tours before but I will now definitely be one of those returning to Insight!! Thank you, Insight!!

  • Lynne Meadows

    Bangor (ME), United States

Lynne Meadows made our, my trip the best. She is a miracle worker....kept everything flowing, no matter what happened she made it work. She also has a wealth of information, shared throughout the trip keeping us informed of who, what where why and when.....we were. History, quips...always a smile on her face. At times we challenged her, not on purpose, by spreading out too much and not keeping together but she managed to get us all together. My hat's off to her sense of humor, knowledge, 'family' love. She deserves a major raise for putting up with our craziness. We made it. WONDERFUL TRIP. WOULD TRAVEL WITH LYNNE AGAIN. Anyone else? Second best.

  • Italy Easy Pace Tour

    Lewiston (NY), United States

My wife and I book the "Easy Pace" Tour of Italy. 3 days in each city. Rome, Florence and Venice. We were in complete awe of the cities, surrounding cities and the tours. Besides what is mentioned above, the trip was made even more astounding by our Tour Director Francis Touschek. His knowledge pertaining to all of the people, cities, buildings, historical background and architecture of our tours gave us a complete understanding not only of the landscape, but an educational experience as well. We are seriously contemplating returning and would certainly ask for Francis again. Thank you Insight Tours and Francis Touschek for a marvelous tour, food and drink. • Enjoyable journey through Italy

    4 out of 5

    Desert Hot Springs, United States

Our tour through Italy provided us with carefree and easy access to many of the most popular tourist attractions in Rome, Florence, Venice, and numerous other towns along the way. The tour coach was very comfortable and the driver was personable, reliable and experienced. Our tour guide was able to answer most of our questions with ease and gave us both valuable information in dealing with local issues as well as sharing her personal opinion of life in Italy. Some of the highlights of the trip occurred through the extra excursions that were offered. Favorites were a magical dinner in the hills of Tuscany hosted by a local chef that is worthy of his own cooking show, a tour of the enchanting walled hill towns of Sienna and San Giamigano; and the colorful buildings and seafood lunch in Burano, a smaller version of Venice. Great memories.

  • First time in Italy

    5 out of 5

    Sandyston, United States

I recommend to anyone going to Italy for the first time to take this tour. Our tour guide Mojca was absolutely the best. She was truly a good MaMa as she called herself. One of our group had gotten lost in Pisa missing the meeting point and time. MaMa sent the rest of us back to the bus and searched Pisa until the missing lamb was found. The tour itself was fabulous. Don't be fooled by the easy pace Italy as they call this tour. It is chock full of activity. You will see all the of the attractions you need to see on a fast track. The tours bypass all the lines. For instance we arrived at the Vatican about 8:30 am and lines for the entrance were beyond our vision ,being on a tour we went in without waiting. It was the same for every place we visited. Hotels in Florence and Rome where adequate and the Hilton in Venice was 5 star. The best thing about this tour is you have plenty of time to explore on your own. The bus for the tour was very comfortable. Our driver Santino was also a pleasure. My wife and I are not tour type of people, we like to explore on our own but if you are visiting a place for the first time do yourself a favour and take a tour. I will also like to thank our tour guide Mojca. She was a wealth of information. She truly did a fantastic job and my wife and I will always be thankful for the guidance she gave us on the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Mojca our MaMa

  • Just the Right Pace

    5 out of 5

    Yorba Linda, United States

This was a wonderful way to really get to experience the country of Italy and its 3 main cities. We did not have to pack/unpack every night or every other night. Also, since we only traveled in Italy -our bus drives weren't too long which was more enjoyable- time was spent in country versus on bus. There were great optional experiences if wanted to do them but no pressure. We did the experiences and they were great- didn't want to miss anything ! Plenty of free time on own to do what wanted. Loved this tour- didn't feel overwhelmed or rushed!! Tour guide, Mark was wonderful with lots of information and organized- kept us on track!

  • Spectacular time

    5 out of 5

    Springfield (IL), United States

I cannot recommend Insight vacations enough, especially our tour director Chris Beck. From the smallest of details, everything was supremely organized, yet there was always a feel of relaxation with the tour group and tour director. While the tour highlighted some of the biggest cities in Italy, we had the excellent opportunity to see some of the smaller cities on travel days (Pisa, Verona, and a small Tuscan city that featured a winery for lunch). Not only did we get to experience more of Italy, but it never felt like our travel days were "wasted" on a bus. The hotels were clean, luxurious, and featured many amenities (hair dryers, AC, breakfast, and cafes/bars). Good job Insight for these hotel selections, especially the hotel (Hilton Molino Stucky) in Venice. Lastly, Chris was simply fantastic. He was personable, knowledgable about all the areas, and always had wonderful recommendations authentic restaurants and local shopping, especially in Florence with genuine gold and leather. We loved our vacation so much that we will absolutely be booking another one through Insight in the future!

First of all, there really is an Insight Tour Manager named Lynne Meadows and she is as good - actually better - as other reviewers have expressed. More on this later. Insight, again, has hit the bullseye with their 'Easy Pace' programs - this time with Easy Pace Italy. The concept of 3 days/nights in each city is especially appealing to those who want to have more than a one day 'breeze-thru' and don't relish the prospect of having to unpack/pack each night. This tour - starting with Rome - excelled! The walking tour of the Vatican was comprehensive and enlightening - full of sites and information but not to the point of 'information overload'. The optional tour to Pompeii/Naples is a 'MUST DO'. Unless you plan another trip to Italy, this is the most effective way to see this historical site. The local guide assigned to our group was outstanding. With Ms. Meadows leading the way, the walking tour of Naples was superb - pointing out the differences of Northern Italy (Milan), Central Italy (Rome) and Southern Italy (Naples - with its current 40% unemployment) and the economic/political stress being encountered. An extra day in Rome (4 days versus 3) would have been a welcome addition considering all that is available. The hotel in Rome - considered to be 'traditional' is within easy walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trivi Fountain and the Borghese Park - something that can easily be done on the day of arrival. Be cautious of those at the Spanish Steps giving 'roses' to the ladies - their outreached hand soon follows wanting payment. The walking 'orientation' of Rome included a visit to the Pantheon - an absolute masterpiece of Roman engineering. Perhaps the fact that it has been in continuous use in one format or another since its construction explains the reason for its continued magnificence. En route to Florence is a stop at Pisa. While Italy has a number of 'leaning' towers, the one at Pisa is most famous and well worthy of the stop to view the Bell Tower, the Baptistry and the Cathedral. The two 'optional' dinners in Florence greatly exceeded expectations - the ambience, quality of food and free-flowing wine were well worth the 'ticket price' - not something to pass on! While in Florence, enroute to see one of its many sites, our path was blocked by the local constabulary because of a 'no-rules football match' - whatever that entailed is still unknown! No amount of pleading by Ms. Meadows would persuade the constabulary to let us pass. Undeterred, Lynne spotted the manager of a local restaurant she knew and after a brief conversation all 38 of our group marched in the back door, through the restaurant and out the front door - effectively circumventing the 'roadblock' to our destination. Kudos Ms. Meadows. Having been to Venice before on Insight's European Highlight tour, we both felt that we would be bored during the 3 days we would be there. Were we ever wrong! First and foremost, the Molino Stucky Hilton -with its rooftop 'Skyline' bar and swimming pool -is an experience one will not soon forget or for that matter ever duplicate. The hotel was once an old flour complex that Hilton renovated in 2007 at, by my estimate, a cost of multiple millions. Located on the island of Giudecca directly across the Grand Canal from San Marco (St. Marks Square) section of Venice, a 'shuttle-boat' takes Molino Stucky guests to San Marco AND the Zattere and back to the hotel free of charge. Just ask anyone at the reception desk or concierge station for a 'Shuttle Boat Timetable' - walk out the front door to the dock directly in front of the hotel, look for the yellow hulled boat with "Hilton" painted on the side and you are 'good to go'. Within 10 minutes your'e there! The shuttle runs from 8:00am until midnight. Take the time to depart the shuttle and explore the Zattere section and its many churches/sites/shops - you will not be disappointed. Adjacent to San Marco, Zattere is a welcome respite from the crowds of San Marco. Don't worry about getting lost in the maze of streets comprising Venice - just ask any shopkeeper (or look up at the corner of the buildings) for 'San Marco' and you'll get pointed in the right direction. The shuttle to return to the Molino Stucky is right by the gigantic statue of an Italian King (?) mounted on horseback bordering the canal - awfully hard to miss. Won't go into detail about St. Marks Square but suffice it to say it's well worth the wait to get in - an awesome experience. BE CERTAIN to take time to explore and experience Giudecca. It's like Venice was 30 years ago. You can walk from the hotel to the other end of the island in about 25 minutes. The Giudecca has several excellent restaurants that are realistically priced versus the higher priced restaurants of the main island. We ate at the "Trattoria Al Cacciatori' - excellent (try the black linguini with clams). The SS. Redentore Church is well worth a look see. If open, stop at Saints Eufemia church - founded in the 9th century. Another MUST VISIT is the "Italian Discount Grocery Store" near the SS Redentore church. Be advised that it is closed on Sunday. Where else in Venice can you get a wide selection of liters of Italian table wine for 2 Euro along with an equally wide selection of other 'spirits' at comparable pricing? Or for that matter, buy a half dozen rolls, a pack of prosciutto and some sliced cheese for a total of 6 Euro? If, however, you do plan to buy some wine at the 'Italian Discount" store, BRING A CORKSCREW with you in your checked luggage - you cannot find one in Venice! There is enough to do on Giudecca to easily occupy a relaxing afternoon. Finally - returning to the subject of Lynne Meadows. Insight has a real jewel in her. Her self deprecating, wry sense of humor coupled with her knowledge of the 'territory' made this one of the most enjoyable, flawless tours we have been on. When something came up - as in Florence - she had the skill and experience to 'fix' the problem. When you asked a question, she had the answer. Lynne can best be described as the consummate professional - a definite asset to the Insight organization. Thank you Lynne (and Insight!) for a great tour!

    Nepean, Canada

I have to admit that I was reluctant to see Italy with a 'Coach Tour', but now I can't imagine any other way to explore a country. My wife and I have been all over the world and haven't enjoyed any trip as much as our Insight Vacation. Our tour director, Federica Nardini, was excellent. She kept us informed, entertained and extremely well organized. The hotel selections were perfect for our needs, and the optional excursions were first rate. All life's surprises should be so pleasant! BB

    Wilsonville, United States

This was our second time to do Italy with Insight Vacations. The first was several years ago, it covered more cities but spent only 2 nights per city. This tour spent 3 nights in Rome, Florence and Venice with visits to Pisa and Verona. The optional excursions added Pompeii, Siena and San Gimniano, which really rounded out the experience. Three night stays in excellent hotels made this trip so much bettr. Of course, a great director, excellent coach and interesting companions were necessary parts of a great vacation.

This was an extremely wonderful trip, tour and vacation for us. It was a new experience, but thanks to our tour guide, Federica Nardini, it will live in our memories forever. She is an outstanding individual, tour guide and host. She was very knowledgeable of the country, traditions, culture, and the arts. She guided us to the highlights of Italy. We would also like to say that the additional guides for the specific tours were excellent also. The three cities we stayed in were well covered by them and their knowledge of the areas was excellent. The additional tours we also did were very well done. We enjoyed the meals, and the entertainment at the special dinners. Thank you and Federica for the excellent tour! Walt and Donna Johnson

  • The Best Holiday Ever

    5 out of 5

    Crowthorne, United Kingdom

This holiday was the very best I have ever had as a tour package. I was apprehensive about travelling to 3 destinations by coach but I needn't have worried. My sister (from Canada) and I saw everything we wanted to see and more. As a bonus we had perfect weather but the highlight of the holiday had to be the Tour Director Alison Gatt. She knew so much about Italy and the places we visited (Rome,Florence,Venice) in terms of the history, and life of the people there today, as well as so many interesting and amusing tales and anecdotes about the places and the people there from the past and in today's world that the coach travel seemed to fly by. She also kept us in order and at times we needed it!! We avoided any queues as tickets were purchased for us to enter each building as soon as we arrived taking away the stress of queueing. We could not have wished for better. The only comment I would make in terms of the booking is that we misunderstood the title Easy Pace which we thought would mean a more relaxed trip as this one required early rises and a great deal of walking. However Alison explained that the reason for the title meant that we could opt in or out to extra excursions and that as we had chosen to go on all the excursions that made the holiday a faster pace. However we had wanted to visit all the sites and on looking back we would not have missed one of them so that the early mornings seemed insignificant and the walking helping to rid us of any extra calories we put on because of the delicious Italian food. Thank you Insight Travel and especially Alison for the holiday of a life time. You have spoiled us for ever going with a different firm and our next holiday will definitely be booked with you. My husband and I truly enjoyed the tour. Lynne Meadows was our tour guide and her knowledge was fabulous. We particularly enjoy tours for the behind the scenes tidbits you learn, as well as ease of travel from location to location. Lynne and Fabio, our driver, made sure this occurred at every turn and we are well pleased with our choice. We met some wonderful people, as well. Italy was beautiful, and we learned and saw so much, thanks Lynne and Fabio! XO

  • Nixon party of 8 Easy Pace Italy Tour, July 2014

    Houston, United States

Our party of 8 returned last week from Insight's "Easy Pace Italy" tour. This was (most of) our party's first trip to Europe, and with VERY, VERY minor exceptions, I'd rate every element of our experience as a "10". The accommodations were excellent, the included site-seeing was great, and our tour guide, Terry Marshall, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, thoughtful, supremely well organized & patient with our tour group of 40+. Truly & without exaggeration, I do not know how she was able to do "so much, so well", by herself. Positively, the Insight organization "has got their act together"! Our bus driver never missed a beat- safely navigating the 40 passenger bus through places I wouldn't have thought possible. *And guys, I am 6'-3", and I had PLENTY of legroom on the bus- this was because Insight's buses are 40 passenger & NOT 50 passenger. This was a HUGE plus to me- not having my knees jammed into the seat in front! The 3 local guides, one each in Rome, Florence & Venice) were fantastic. My wife and I will not consider anyone but Insight on our next "guided tour" trip. G.N. of Houston, TX

Just a week ago I went on a trip to Italy on Insight Vacation's Easy Pace Italy Tour. We went to three major cities in 10 days and it was wonderful. We not only saw Rome, Florence, and Venice as the major cities on our tour but we had optional experiences to tour other wonderful cities like Verona, Pisa, Tuscany for a wine tasting, San Gimignano, Sienna, and Tivoli to see the beautiful gardens. Some of these cities were stops along the way to our next destination. Our tour guide, Mick Parsons, was fantastic and so knowledgable about the regions, wines, restaurants and history of Italy. On this tour you could see and do as little as what was included with your package, or as much as you wanted with all of the optional excursions that were offered to you. We took advantage of several of the excursions and loved every one of them. The accommodations that were arranged by Insight Vacations were great as well. Very clean and newly remodeled hotels with good food for your breakfast that was included daily. It was wonderful to have everything arranged for you from hotel transportation, to your luggage, to buses to get from one destination to the next. All of the local tour guides were very knowledgable as well. When I go on my next European vacation with my husband, I will definitely be booking another trip with Insight Vacations. You will not be sorry.

  • Perfect Vacation

I have been on 2 Insight Easy Pace Tours, both wonderful. However, our Italian tour was exceptional. Not one thing went wrong, the side tours we took were perfect, the people on the tour were great fun, no whiners, no one who was ever late, all looking out for each other. They were the perfect traveling companions. Our tour guide, Liz, was remarkable. Her energy, her attention to detail, her joyfulness was infectious. Her suggestions to us were spot on. I can't imagine ever enjoying myself this much again, but plan to take another Insight Easy Pace tour in the next 2 years.

  • We Saw So Much!

This was my first time visiting Europe. I love the way the Easy Pace Italy tour was set up. There are planned activities and times that are free on your tour. However, on the days that are free, there are optional activities you can decide to participate in. This was great for first time travelers like me. I did all of the planned activities and all of the optional activities. Some of the other people who were on our tour have visited Europe previously. They chose not to do some of the optional activities and to have a day here and there to themselves. Our tour director was fantastic. The local experts who conduct the tours to specific places, were passionate about the history and information. Every place we visited was spectacular. I have nothing negative to say. We visited about 9 or 10 towns altogether. I had the time of my life! The tour director and tour guides were extremely accommodating as well. I would absolutely use Insight Tours again!

We have just returned from Easy Pace Italy Tour. Lynne Meadows was our tour guide. We had a wonderful time, even the weather smiled on us. I thoroughly recommend to anyone doing this tour to do ALL the optional extra tours. It costs more, yes, but truly worth evey cent. Loved the Tuscany Hills and Florence. So many other highlights including Pompei, Roma, Venice, I could go on for ever. One thing I really want to say is how great Lynne was. Her knowledge, solid Italian language, care for us all was superb. When Cheryl and I left the tour to go to Paris, while we were no longer part of the Insight Tour, who was there to wave us off? Lynne. We will never forget how well she looked after us. Thanks Lynne from your Aussie friends.

  • The Most Awesome Guide in Italy!

    Wimberley, United States

This was our first tour and it was fabulous!!! I have a couple of pinched nerves in my lower spine so was using the sports cane, which was a wonderful idea on our Easy Pace Tour of Italy. We were blessed to have a little Italian gal as our guide! Her name is Lorena and if you go on this tour, request her!!! she goes the extra mile to make sure all details are handled and everyone has a wonderful time!!! Our tour group clicked & several people are already planning future tours w/ Insight!!!! Thank you Lorena for introducing us to your Italy!!

Both my husband and myself thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this tour. We took advantage of all but one of the side trips and we are so glad we did. Our group was diverse but got along with no problems. The hotels were clean and most importantly for my husband's back the beds were very comfortable. Our tour guide, Lorena, made the trip interesting and fun, I would recommend her to anyone getting ready to visit Italy. Our bus driver, Edwardo, kept us safe, even though the streets are terribly narrow.

  • Tour of Italy

We enjoyed our tour very much. We had a great tour director (Steve) and he did a most admirable job of getting us to the various sites on schedule, keeping us informed as to schedule requirements, providing some information about local issues, people and history, and in general, looking after a myriad of issues brought forth by his 38 on-board guests. He also included some extras which certainly added to our enjoyment even more. - The tour itself was well organized and at a pace that we quite enjoyed. We appreciated the unscheduled time as well and were always happy to find things to do on our own during such occasions. Overall, it was a very rewarding experience. Thanks very much.

We had a wonderful time on our vacation in Italy. Our tour director, Federika, was great. She was very knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor and took into consideration everyone's needs and tastes. She is the type of tour director that brings people back to insight and I know that we will be booking again. Just a fantastic trip on all levels.

  • Insight Vacations Exceeds Our Expectations

Just recently returned from our first, but definitely not our last, Insight Vacation - Easy Pace Italy. Our trip was spectacular from start to finish thanks to Insights planning and preparation. From the time we got on the motor coach in Rome until we boarded the water taxi from the beautiful hotel in Venice until we arrived at the Venice airport the entire trip was organized, fun, informative and enjoyable. Insight got it "just right" in terms of the amount of time spent at each attraction like the Vatican, David, Pisa, etc. Our tour guide, Liz C. Was extremely well organized and knowledgeable and always ready to assist our needs. The motor coach we traveled in was new and our driver was superb. All 3 hotels exceeded expectations, albeit each one was different from the other, and were indeed centrally located to the major attractions. We could not imagine that this vacation would have been as pleasant and memorable and wonderful without Insight. We didin't have to worry about our luggage getting from one place to the next or worry about traveling from one region to the next or standing in very, very long lines to get in to see the main attractions. The breakfasts provided at each hotel were great as we're the welcome and farewell dinners planned by our tour guide. One of the highlights of the trip was the wine tasting and lunch at the vineyard in Tuscany. Again, a BIG THANK YOU to Insight and to our tour guide Liz C for exceeding our expectations in every way and for making this trip a truly wonderful vacation for our family. Bravo!

We have frequently done escorted tours. The advantage of this one is having time to ourselves to explore, dine alone, etc. Really enjoyed it. Our Tour Director was excellent. Well informed, multi-lingual, and very personable.
