Service: They do everything well and tour manager was very good

  • 12 September, 2018

Trip: The country was magnificient and the tour route was perfect. I am hopeful that we are able to return sometime to see the Northwest peninsula at some later date. The lodging and food was great.

Service: The customer service was excellent. Our guides were the BEST. Metaja and Otto the driver. I would recommend them to anyone. Very knowledgeable and safety oriented. I am hopeful that we are able to take a trip to Slovenia with Insight and have Metaja as a guide in her own country.

Trip: Nothing was I didn't want to see

Service: Travel was smooth.choice of hotels was good, best of all our guide Mateiha was very informative.

  • 10 September, 2018

Trip: We visited all the major sites and a few lesser know stops that we really enjoyed.

Service: Our tour director, Mateya, was terrific. She shared a wealth of info about Iceland as we drove from site to site. My husband had a trip to the hospital and she came to check on how we were doing. She had a pleasant personality and great sense of humor. We never received the Tour Package and felt we were at a disadvantage. Since we had no one to contact at Insight we contacted the travel agent, Patricia LoBracco, who confirmed that we did not receive the packet. She emailed us info. Because of this we started the trip without complete info. For example we did not know that we would have an opportunity to swim in the Blue Lagoon. The lack of contact from Insight was disconcerting.

Trip: I thought it was great .. we covered a lot of ground in a comfortable coach .We saw all the highlights of Iceland

    Service: Very good

  • 04 September, 2018

Trip: The scenery in Iceland is magnificent -- dramatic! The itinerary, taking in waterfalls, glaciers, geysirs, quaint restaurants, etc. was well thought out. And our guide, Mateja, was VERY well informed, bringing us facts and even some of the sagas of Iceland.

Service: The itinerary took full advantage of the dramatic scenery in Iceland; the hotels and food were very good, and best of all, our tour guide, Mateja, from Slovenia, was EXCELLENT.

  • 01 September, 2018

Trip: The tour of the country was very complete, covering the variety of sights and experiences. One glaring omission compared to other tours I have been on: Music, indigenous or imported. Maybe Icelanders are not musical? Also some more depth of the culture beyond trolls and elves.

Service: Overall the service was very good. it would be better if the transfers to and from the Reykjavik Airport were coordinated better with the actual flight arrivals and departures, In both directions I had to arrange my own transfers and could not use the provided coupons.

Trip: I assumed that we would get some history/cultural background of the people and country. Possibly an option to visit the Viking museum & see a viking ship. We were not exposed to art culture - past to present. I believe this would add to overall experience. Hotels/ dining/people were outstanding. Again, our tour guide was amazing. I was able to hike with others on the trip and I enjoyed that - time was allotted for us to do this. Overall, I was very happy with this adventure.

Service: I felt very certain of the quality of the tour after experiencing a prior tour Italy in Spring of 2018. Details about the flight and trip itinerary was thoroughly explained. I had a great time! Our tour guide in Iceland was outstanding and she took great care with customers with special needs.

Service: We really enjoyed our trip. It was filled with as many adventures and sights as one could possibly pack into a day. The meals and accommodations were great too. Thanks for a wonderful 50th wedding anniversary vacation.
