Where Can I Travel to Now?

by | 1 Jul 2021

With the exciting news that Europe is open for vaccinated American and Canadian travelers, it’s time to check out where you can travel to this summer. Last month, the European Commission recommended that all travelers who have been fully vaccinated with WHO- (World Health Organization) approved vaccines should be allowed to enter the EU without restriction. Now, those recommendations have become a reality, and we can book a summer vacation with ease.

If you’re wondering “where can I travel to now?”, you need to look no further. Insight Vacations have put together the Tours Available Now to make it easy for you to start exploring again. We have a new Sherpa tool, so you can find the latest information for the country you’re traveling to. Every one of our tours is now accompanied by a Well-Being Director, alongside your Travel Director, so that you can have complete peace of mind while traveling.

We’ve also gathered some of the premium guided tours available to countries that have given the green light, so you can plan your seamless summer getaway.

Country Roads of Ireland

The Green Isle is your oyster with this 12-day guided tour. Take in historic castles, rugged coastline and stunning natural phenomenon as your Travel Director and Local Experts uncover the secrets of this fascinating country.

Start in Dublin’s fair city, where you’ll see the grand architecture of Custom House and Christchurch Cathedral before getting priority entry to the library of Trinity College to marvel at the amazing Book of Kells, hand drawn by monks in the ninth century.  In Kilkenny, you’ll meet a hurling player to learn more about the ancient Celtic sport that dates back almost 3,000 years and perhaps have a go yourself?

Fine dining punctuates your journey, including a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience with the friendly John and Freda Sheehan, who passionately run their sustainable, Farm-to-Table concept at the 19th Green Guesthouse in Killarney.

You arrive in the capital of the country, Zagreb, where you board the funicular to venture to the top tier with its cute little streets and fabulous views across the lower part of the city. On Day 3, your tour takes you across the border into Slovenia to see the subterranean splendor of Postojna Caves. On this tour, you have a choice of two MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences in Plitvice National Park. Choose to meet the indefatigable women of the Tara Community Centre, who have created employment opportunities for their community by preserving local handicrafts. I'm Alex, Editor of Insightful. I have over 10 years' experience as a travel writer and editor, and have been lucky enough to visit some incredible destinations in that time. Canada, Italy and Iceland are (so far) my favorite places on Earth, but at the top of my wish list for future adventures is India. I'm fascinated by indigenous cultures and traditions, have a hearty appetite for history (but a poor memory for dates), and feel most at home in wild, unpopulated landscapes.
