What made the trip truly exceptional was the quality of the tour guide. As we traveled from place to place we were told the location's historical and cultural significance. We were able to contribute personally to the islands' reforestation efforts and witness firsthand the destruction and recovery efforts of the Lahaina fire on Maui.
