How We Tread Right
At Insight Vacations, we believe travel can – and must – be a force for good. This positive impact starts long before your vacation begins. Our print brochures are produced from 100% recycled fiber, contributing to the conservation of resources and the environment. Both in our offices, and on our tours, we are eliminating single use plastics. When you book with us, you will receive your documents electronically. Thanks to travelling paper free, you’re supporting our sustainability efforts to reduce our environmental impact wherever possible.
Insight Vacations is a founding member of the TreadRight Foundation, a joint initiative created by the brands within The Travel Corporation (TTC) almost 15 years ago to ensure our impact through tourism is positive. Our ethos to #MakeTravelMatter guides our decision-making at every level of our business.
How We Tread Right is TTC's new five-year sustainability strategy, which sets the mandate on sustainability at Insight Vacations and our sister travel companies. Our strategy is based on 11 measurable goals, anchored to the United Nations' Global Goals, and were developed to address Insight Vacations' impact on People, the Planet and Wildlife.
Sustainability and Conservation
We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our business and safeguarding the future of our planet. Initiatives include: targeting climate change, sustainable food production and responsible consumption through carbon management, renewable energy, the food cycle, waste reduction, and the elimination of single-use plastics.
As an Insight guest, you will enjoy many experiences on your tour that align with our values of sustainable tourism.
MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences advance the United Nations Global Goals and positively impact our travellers and the communities we visit. They are chosen with great care using an assessment endorsed by sustainable tourism experts.

SAFE TRAVELS
We have worked closely with the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) to guide and co-create their “New Normal Safe and Seamless Traveller Journey” global protocols.
TOURCARE
TOURCARE was created in collaboration between USTOA, CATO and ETOA (United States, Canadian and European Tour Operators Associations). These guidelines provide direction for tour operators across all touch-points of a tour – staff, suppliers, and passengers – to ensure that health and sanitisation protections are in place for each stakeholder and the communities visited. Sanitisation procedures recommended are those issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC), and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), as well as local governmental health authorities.
