  • 17 June, 2018

    TRIP:
    SERVICE:

Trip: We hit the highlights, but most of the time was spent in the "coach" (big bus), driving through the gorgeous British countryside, very little in the beautiful towns and cities, and virtually none meeting local people.

Service: I should probably give five stars because the people I dealt with over the phone and the guide on the tour were super. The only reason I didn't include the last star was actually my fault. The tour I took was probably as good as it could be for what it was, but I wouldn't take a tour like that again. We went to too many places and stayed too little time in a lot of them. Next time I would be better off going to fewer places and staying longer. But the hotels were great, the excursions were fun, our guide was charming and knowledgeable, our driver most competent. And it was great being in Britain during the sunniest May in 25 years.

  • 17 June, 2018

  • 16 June, 2018

    TRIP:
    SERVICE:

Trip: Too many places covered. Would have liked 2 nights in several more locations, along with free time to explore the area., or rest if needed. Note: Would have liked more upscale hotels with better service.

Service: Well organized, fantastic tour guide who provided continuous small feedings of history and lore supplemented with AV - movie or TV clips and music - and who showed passion for ger work and caring for Insight travellers.
