Insight Vacations' tours* now include a specially trained and dedicated Well-Being Director to provide additional support and assistance during your travels.
The Well-Being Director takes a proactive approach to your welfare and dedicates their attention to the latest hygiene and physical distancing protocols throughout your tour. Up to date with the latest regulations from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), World Health Organization (WHO) and local government authorities, they are always available to overcome any concerns. Your Well-Being Director will support your Travel Director and driver in making your holiday perfect for you, so you have peace of mind to enjoy your experience fully.
*Well-Being Directors are available on 2022 departures with more than 20 guests and are not available on Australia and New Zealand tours. Well-Being Directors can be arranged for Custom Groups for a supplementary charge.
The Well-Being Director will always be available to you and ready to answer any questions or concerns relating to your well-being. They’ll be specially trained to provide you with latest information on international developments and guidelines that contribute to your well-being while traveling. They will facilitate any mandatory COVID related testing with as little impact as possible to our guest experience. They’ll provide personal support with luggage management throughout your holiday, ensuring all handles are sanitized during loading and unloading.
As part of The Travel Corporation (TTC), we’ve strengthened our already high health and hygiene standards, reflecting our 100 years of guided vacation and hospitality experience. Our latest protocols are aligned with the guidelines provided by the WTTC and WHO. The Well-Being Director is responsible for checking that all hotels, restaurants and other venues that you will visit on your holiday meet these expected standards.
The Well-Being Director will undertake daily monitoring and health checks of all guests, as well as the Travel Director and driver. They’ll also support the driver in daily sanitisation of the coach and ensure all hygiene, physical distancing and well-being regulations are met each day.
We have worked closely with the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) to guide and co-create their “New Normal Safe and Seamless Traveller Journey” global protocols.
TOURCARE was created in collaboration between USTOA, CATO and ETOA (United States, Canadian and European Tour Operators Associations). These guidelines provide direction for tour operators across all touch-points of a tour – staff, suppliers, and passengers – to ensure that health and sanitisation protections are in place for each stakeholder and the communities visited. Sanitisation procedures recommended are those issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC), and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), as well as local governmental health authorities.
