We operate superb programmes in Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Morocco featured within this brochure. There is also the USA, Canada, Hawaii and the Indian sub-continent, including our mini-trips to Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.

Who travels with Insight?

All our guests share a passion for travel, fun, adventure and discovery. Ages range from young to mature with an average of mid-50s, travelling either solo, as couples, families or with friends and join us from all over the English speaking world! Insight Vacations plays host to over 100,000 guests every year and has offices in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore and the UK . The company has also appointed specialist agents in Argentina, Brazil, Mauritius, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan and China. It is therefore quite typical to find many different nationalities on any one trip and discover people from halfway across the world who you only met yesterday will fast become friends.

Why should I choose a premium Insight Vacations tour?

Insight is completely unique. Simply, we are the only travel operator to give you more legroom on every trip at no extra cost: you'll consistently stay in quality hotels in desirable locations; you'll enjoy more included sightseeing; and because you'll travel in smaller groups, you'll receive better personal service from your experienced Travel Director and Travel Driver.

What are Insight Travel Directors like?

Time and time again, our guests tell us that it was their Travel Director who really made their tour. Our Travel Directors are amongst the finest in the business and will help steer you through the labyrinth of Europe's cultures, languages and diversities and bring its magic to life before your eyes. Meet our Travel Director of the month.

What is the role of the Well-Being Director*?

In response to the COVID-19 challenge, we have created and implemented a new position on many of our tours, for a Well-Being Director*. Working closely together with your Travel Director, the Well-Being Director* will help make sure all necessary protocols are followed to ensure the health and wellbeing of all our guests. This includes our enhanced screening and hygiene protocols, complying with distancing and other requirements set by government authorities. They are also there to support our guests, answer any questions you may have and to give you peace of mind while travelling in these new times.

Will coach travel be relaxing?

We ensure your comfort when travelling by planning plenty of rest stops during each journey. There's also an on-board wash room on all travelling coaches (except in Morocco). Seat rotation each day guarantees everyone gets to enjoy the great views, while travelling head and shoulders above the other traffic. By leaving the driving to us you avoid wasted time planning routes and negotiating traffic. We'll even take care of the expensive items like refuelling, paying tolls and parking charges, and more.

Will the coach be modern and comfortable?

Yet another exclusive feature of an Insight premium tour is the incredible space and comfort you'll enjoy when travelling. Our luxury coaches have been specially reconfigured with fewer seats, you'll relax in style whilst enjoying up to twice as much legroom then on a standard Travelling coach - on EVERY departure with NO EXTRA SURCHARGE to pay.

Are there other advantages to having fewer seats?

Yes there are. With Insight, it's not just extra legroom that each guest enjoys, there's also the extra window space. What's more, you can recline without crushing the person behind and you have more room for personal belongings and luggage (our allowance is actually higher than other operators). It's also quicker to embark and disembark, saving sometimes up to an hour or more on days when there are many stops!

Do all tour operators have 40 seat coaches?

No. We are the only operator to have developed a fleet of hundreds of specially reconfigured 40 seat travelling coaches with business class legroom. Most others, even if they claim smaller groups, predominantly use coaches with 49 or 53 seats.

How long will I spend on the coach?

We seldom travel longer than a couple of hours or so without a photo stop or visit. Some journeys are much shorter. Many times you won't need the coach at all as we often build-in multiple days at leisure. One thing you can be certain is that a journey by coach is much easier and more comfortable than by any other transport means. We take you in limousine comfort door-to-door. Insight also uses many other forms of transportation to give you an exciting and varied vacation. From high-speed trains, cable cars and hydrofoils to open-top taxis, river cruisers and carriages - you'll enjoy them all, and more.

Is there seat rotation?

Yes, your Travel Director will implement a seat rotation system, whereby all guests will rotate their seats on the coach daily. This allows for everyone to experience the spectacular views from different seats, and you’ll have a better opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers.

How many people will be on tour with me?

With only 40 guests on our premium tours instead of the standard 53, Insight clients enjoy a more personalised service. In a smaller group, you'll be closer to your local guide for a more in-depth experience, you'll spend less time waiting to get into sights and it will be faster checking into hotels with your luggage arriving quicker to your room. Insight groups are smaller, more intimate and more friendly.

I want to see all the main sights, but will I have time to explore on my own?

At Insight, planning the perfect tour is our speciality. Not only do we include the 'must see' sights, we carefully balance our itineraries to give you plenty of free time to relax and immerse yourself in the location.

We design each itinerary with the perfect balance of planned activities and personal time to explore. We also give you the opportunity to personalise your tour with a range of Optional Excursions at competitive rates, which allow you to choose how you spend some of your time.

All our guests share a passion for travel, fun, adventure and discovery. Ages range from young to mature with an average of mid-50s, travelling either solo, as couples, families or with friends and join us from all over the English speaking world!

  • Visit - Your coach will stop and you'll get to visit a specific site.
  • View - A brief stop and an opportunity to take photos.
  • See - Your Insight coach will drive by the site so that you can see it.

  • Sightseeing tour - A local city guide will accompany you on a tour of a city or site.

  • Time to explore and discover - Free time on your own.

All tips have been included for services on tour by dining-room staff, chambermaids and porters at hotels, airports, docks and train stations

Do you have a non-smoking policy?

There is a no smoking policy motor coach travelling policy. However, we do make plenty of convenience stops giving you the opportunity to smoke, use local restroom facilities, take a scenic snapshot or just relax and enjoy of cup of coffee.

Do you have a share program for singles?

If you wish to share with another tour member you can advise Insight Vacations at the time of booking. Insight believes that travelling solo doesn't have to cost you more. We will try to match you with someone of the same sex in order to avoid having to pay the single supplement. If we are not able to provide a suitable room mate, we will provide a single room at no extra cost.

What is an 'optional experience'?

These are activities that we do not automatically include but are offered at the start of your tour designed to enhance your travel experience. Your Travel Director will have a list of available options and the appropriate costs. They are carefully programmed to coincide with the best highlights available at the time of your visit. It could be a seafood lunch in Venice, a concert in Vienna or a Grand Canyon Helicopter ride. A detailed list and costs can be found in your tour documentation or on our website.

Will I be required to only participate in the organised optional experiences that are offered in my free time?
Our guests will always be offered the choice to decide how they would prefer to enjoy their own free time. Whether they would like to choose to participate in one of our tailored optional experiences on tour or enjoy an activity aside from their fellow travellers.

What are my choices if I choose not to join one of the Optional Experiences that are on offer?
Our guests are on holiday and our Travel Directors are available to tailor the experience to the personal dreams and aspirations of each individual traveller. Our Travel Directors know these places like a local and love to share all their insider tips for alternative visits, walks, activities and restaurants in the area. The Wellbeing Director will keep you updated on all the latest health regulations and local government guidelines in place for each place you visit to ensure your tour isn’t just a fun one but stress-free as well. Alternatively, time to relax in our well positioned, luxury hotels.

How is my well-being looked after on optional experiences?

All of our included and Optional venues and experiences have been carefully vetted. The Well-Being Director is responsible for checking that all hotels, restaurants and other venues that you will visit on your holiday meet local regulations and the established TTC and WTTC well-being protocols. We love to meet and support the local communities in the destinations we visit and we work collaboratively with them to ensure they have our guests’ well-being as their top priority and we in turn promise to abide by their distancing and hygiene protocols and uphold the same standards throughout our itineraries.

Owing to the great partnerships we enjoy with our suppliers, many of our included and optional sightseeing venues offer us priority access, meaning no queues and a greater opportunity to maintain physical distance while sightseeing.

Visiting as part of a small group means that when you do join an optional or are out sightseeing you can still maintain your physical distance and benefit from more personal space.

Our team of Travel Directors, Well-Being Directors and Local Specialists/Experts have been trained in enhanced hygiene and distancing standards and monitor venues to ensure they are complying with local regulations. Our Supported by your Well-Being Director, they will also monitor compliance of our required minimum standards as well as our guests’ well-being any concerns will be rectified and reported back to our Quality Control Department immediately.

Where will my hotel be located and what will it be like?

Insight hotels are consistently first class standard and higher or in a style appropriate to the destination. They have been selected because they are good private or small collection hotels or from well-known chains such as Marriott, Renaissance and Hilton. Insight also chooses hotels based on their location. We know you'll prefer to stay centrally, convenient to the main historic, shopping or entertainment districts; or scenically in areas of natural beauty.

What is the difference between a definite departure and a departure that is not marked definite?

A definite departure is guaranteed to operate for that given departure date. A tour that is not yet designated a definite departure is not yet guaranteed to operate based on current booking numbers. If a tour and departure date you are interested in is not yet definite, do not let this discourage you from booking. The more paid guests we receive, the odds of the tour operating increase. In the slim case that we happen to withdraw a tour you are booked on due to a lack of numbers, you are entitled to a full refund on the funds already paid towards Insight Vacations or if flexible with your time, we can move you onto another departure. When booking tours that are not yet definite, we typically suggest looking into booking your airfare with Insight Vacations so that way in case of a withdrawn departure, you are not stuck with any non-refundable flights booked through another party.

When do tours become designated definite?

As a rule of thumb, a tour becomes a DEFINITE departure once we have sold approximately half of the maximum capacity of a specific departure. On average because a sold out Insight Vacations accommodates 40 guests, a tour is designated definite at the 20 guest mark.

If I book flights with Insight am I financially protected by the ATOL scheme?

Your Financial Protection - When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from us you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong. We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative).

In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).

If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable).

You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.  Your publicity material (including websites and brochures) must show your company name (or trading name notified to the CAA), your ATOL Number, the ATOL logo and one of the following statements depending on the products which are being made available.  All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate.

Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it. Please see our booking conditions for further information or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to.
